    The Zeltbahn at the foot of your Early Kampfanzug camouflage is likely not to be DDR scale of issue, a People's Court decided to was Spanish .. ..Its features, materials are not to known DDR Norms.

        NVA Fighting Load c.1956

        The next few photos depict some NVA load bearing equipment I obtained to go with the Russiche battle dress posted earlier.

          When I popped the top on this field flask, I was pleasantly surprised to find a 1 liter TR canteen marked "G & CL 41". No markings on the cup.

          The mess tin is stamped "1957" with a maker mark.

            No wonder I got it so cheap.

            I wouldn't expect the People's Court to have an appeal's system, but did you guys take into consideration J.F. Borsarello's, "Camouflage Uniforms of European and NATO Armies 1945 to the Present". He I.D.s the piece as East German on page 28.

            Granted some of the accoutrements pictured in the book are non-standard, but he's usually pretty on top of things when it comes to camo.

            Viktor, I do appreciate your input. Please bear with me as I embark on this desperate last stand.
