I have not seen a reproduction of this one. In fact, I've been digging a bit and I have not come across this design at all. There's a very good and useful book called "USSR Folded letters (and envelopes) of 1941-1945, Priceguide", written by V. Zagorskiy and published in 2008. I have gone through the book 3 times now but didn't come across this design.

    This is the book:

So either it is a very uncommon design or a fantasy piece. For now however I feel this to be a good original one. Can you please show the other stuff from the Soviet grouping you mentioned? Perhaps that will tell more about this letter being original or fantasy. Thanks in advance.

      Thank you for the help.
It came with other WW2 German Photo/art postcards that were all authentic. I do not know any additional information about the vet, other than these came together and were brought home from WW2 (Per the owner I bought them from.)
Here are a few of the German Cards..

Ok, I expected to see more Soviet stuff. So with those cards/photos I can't help nor see any connection. Perhaps a GI took some souvenirs back home including this Soviet fieldpost letter or was perhaps traded. Red Army and US army did meet on several occasions so it could be an exchange?!

These look like they would be a minefield to collect. I look at the OP's pictures and to me it looks like it could have been photo copied yesterday. I have zero experience with these and the example shown encourages me not to start.

Touching and smelling the paper is the way to go now and unfortunately it is only the OP to do this and determine if it is recently copied. When feeling this one and compare it with known originals the conclusion can be very quickly made. Pretty sure of that.
