    Defense of Stalingrad

    Hi guys,

Here is another recent addition to my Campaign Medal collection, a nice early Type 1 with separetly attached eyelet and the suspension ring is uncut which is an added bonus. The ribbon fits perfectly to the suspension and is very neatly cut and attached which makes me think original, however it seems too clean to be original IMO. Has very nice wear to it though, and enough slight soiling to it to give it a great look IMO.

Looking for a nice intact Stalingrad document to go with it if anyone has one they would part with.

Hope you guys like this one as much as I do.

    Thanks

    Tom

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Another very nice one. An original 1st variant indeed with original suspension. Looks like it is not worn in combat due to it being in such an excellent condition, both medal and ribbon.

You're looking for any specific documents? From army, air force? Specific regiments for example?

      Hi Marcel,

Thanks for the reply, very happy with this one.

As far as the document, not looking for any particular regiment. Ideally I would want an army document, to a frontline soldier. Airforce document would be fine too. What I don't want is a document held together with tape or with big holes in it. Around the edges is fine to have wear, but most docs I see have a big hold in the middle at the fold which I do not want for display. If you have anything like that that fits the bill, please let me know.

      Thanks Marcel.

Nice job Marcel with the helps!
Thomas, I'd not recommend displaying any documents 'out in the air', even away from direct sunlight as 1940s ink can fade. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
I would, however, rec displaying a good quality photocopy while the original is kept safe and warm in a binder or something similar.
          My doc as an example:
