Order of the Red Banner "The Soviet Desmond Doss"

I wanted to share this one here as well.

Order of the Red Banner (number 250XXX)
Awarded to a Guards Sergeant Major of the medical corps, Losev.
He was drafted in August 1941 and served until October 1945. Wounded in total of 7 times in the Kalinin and Baltic fronts.

    Award citation:

"Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits On 23 January 1945, he exhibited courage and decisiveness in the battle against the German invaders in vicinity of the settlement Asite, Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic. Comrade LOSEV has been 6 times wounded in the line of duty on the war fronts. During the engagement on 23 January 1945, he evacuated 50 wounded soldiers with their weapons from the battlefield. During the enemy counter attack, comrade LOSEV actively participated in the fight: eliminated 7 enemy soldiers and destroyed enemy light machine-gun crew with hand-grenades. While evacuating a wounded away from the battlefield, comrade LOSEV was wounded, but didn’t leave the wounded soldier. Only after having evacuated him to cover, LOSEV was himself sent to the medical battalion.
He is worthy of state award “Red Banner” order. "

    All awards he received:
    Medal “For Bravery” in 1943
Order of the Red Star in 1943

      Thank you!
I don't think it's very common to find these for NCO's. I can't say it wouldn't be well deserved in this case.
