    Order of Glory III...

It's the Order of Glory III class.
The serial number indicates it was awarded in mid/late 1944.

Yes they can be researched, several members here and on other forums will do it.

    Regards,

As mentioned already, an Order of Glory 3rd class.

Can you make a better pic of the enamel. Looks a bit like the red enamel has been replaced or even is just painted.

It's true enamel and all intact.

BTW, what does the legend say/translate to?

Thanks a lot. Original enamel indeed. The word says Slava which means Glory.

              What is this; casting flaw?
Good looking OG3 BTW. Probably with original suspension which is a + in my book.

No. It's just an odd reflection of a spot of tarnish. The ribbon has the feel of what I'd expect from a vintage item. I do believe it's original to it.

What is the equivalentcy of this award compared to US or German awards?

                I looked it up online on-line: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_Glory

I tend to say the ribbon is a replacement, the suspension is the original yes and it looks like the connecting ring is still uncut which is always nice.

Replaced ribbons is no problem btw. Veterans always want to look at their best so ribbons are replaced all the time for newer, more minty looking ones.

Kind of, sort of...EK2 or KVK2/S more or less? Just a wild guess. It was awarded almost 1,000,000 times.
                      Thanks,

This order has no the equivalency in German army.
This order is the only Soviet combat award provided for rewarding only enlisted men and sergants.
The man who earned all three degrees of Glory order officially equated with Hero of The Soviet Union.
