Hat Insignia

Hi y'all, I picked this up at a local estate sale, was really cheap, so I figured I might as well. This is by no means near my speciality, so I would love to hear some opinions on what this is, if it is the real thing or not.

It's a common, modern Soviet enlisted hat device. I don't believe these have been faked.

If you use Ebay, you can pick one up for a few bucks there any day, they are really cheap.

That type of badge goes on the enlisted man's ushanka (grey fake fur hat), on berets (sky blue for VDV or black for Naval Infantry) or on peaked hats for parade use.

The beret would probably be cheapest!
