From my memory I don't see anything wrong.
How much was it?
After the Wall came down, I bought the complete Sets for not more than 80 bucks on Berlin Flea Markets. Mostly sold by old Russian Ladies, maybe their own ones.
P.S.: Set means the Medals, Orders and the Heroine.

the star rays seems a bit too long. the rivets on the back look messed with and i would doubt the authenticity of the gold star. perhaps have it tested for gold content at the local jeweler to confirm...

The metal is fine. It is an original soviet issue, yet fairly common. Value will be rather low.

I'd always recommend to purchase this one with the large formal award document as a matching set.
