No name or unit stamp/date on back, unfortunately. Probably circa 1947, since that is when most of the Eastern European puppet regime medals for WW2 were distributed, and he is not wearing a 1948 Jubilee Medal ribbon.

Top row looks like maybe an OPW 2nd, an Order of Glory, next I have NO clue--something non-Sovietas a decoration?, and a Victory Over Germany Medal. Next row is Capture of Berlin, a Liberation (of Warsaw?), and a Capture (of ?), then two rows of either Polish or Czech awards. The bottom row appears to be a Polish Cross of Grunewald, and in last place, a Sino-Soviet Friendship Medal (? but those were created in 1951...)
Perhaps this was a POLE who served in the Soviet air force?... -

Your idea, that it might be a Polish Soldier who served in the Soviet Air Force is quite logical. Otherwise I think it is impossible for an NCO to get such a lot of foreign awards.

The longer ribbons on the third row may be ? (maybe a Polonia Restituta) and the Cross of Merit, with the Warsaw and Oder-Neisse-Baltic Medals on the fourth row and the Order of the Grunwald Cross and Victory Medal on the fifth row. If so, the Grunwald Cross appears to be out of order.
