    TP4 Armored Vehicle Periscope

This is a recent pickup and I liked it for being used and it came from a person who’s dad gave it to him when he was a kid 25 years. It could be a Desert Storm bring back or earlier. I can’t find to much on this periscope. I did see a archive museum article about a bring back with no pictures of the periscope but did give details of what was stamped TP4 824331 and it was taken from a Iraqi MTLR. I haven’t figured out what type vehicle it was but probably a armored transport vehicle so if anyone has any information on this periscopes age and what vehicles they were used on it would be greatly appreciated.

IMO It is the prismatic device of observation for armored machinery, it is made as the copy of the Soviet device of observation of the TNB (ТНБ) series

I’ve been looking at that model and was wondering if this was a older model or made by another Communist Block County. The areas of overpaint looks gray but is a green of some type and I have Iraqi tanks and BDM’s with similar camouflage.

I haven't found information that on USSR military equipment there were periscopes with the designation TP-4. Therefore I think the device it is manufactured in one of the countries of the Socialist block, and maybe in China. The USSR has transferred to China many licenses for release of military equipment

Thanks for looking and I know China and Poland sold military equipment to Iraq, so maybe either of those nations made it .
