    Soviet Officer's Cap

I purchased this cap years ago, and I can't remember anything about it. I admittedly even forgot I had it up until I cleaned up my display room earlier.
I'm looking for verification it's an authentic cap, as well as general information about it. If my memory serves me correct, it's an Artillery officer's cap.

The diamond in the interior is not a stamp. It's a patch sewn onto the inside.

Unfortunately on the website not absolutely correct definition is given. It is a peak-cap for carrying only with an officer full dress. The black hoop of a peak-cap (I don't know as it is correct on English) was at more than ten types of military forces.
The peak-cap is original, it is made in 1979 at factory in the city of Omsk. Possibly the peak-cap belonged to the tankman because in the city of Omsk there was a tank military college where such peak-caps gave out on the end of training

Difference in a velvet felt Band or felt felt Band only that peak-caps for a ceremonial uniform with a velvet were ordered in military studio for money, and with felt were given from a warehouse (for those who had no money for the order). The type of troops had no value here
