Somewhere I also have some Posters with Camo Uniforms issued by 766 MI BBde.
I show them too, when I found them.
And Yes, the Cold War was a very intersting Era, especially as I grew up in the middle of it.
In Berlin, sometimes I think was the Center of the cold War.
Somewhere I read that we had the most Numbers of Spies on one Spot in the whole world.

Did you served in the USSR or also overseas?

Almost all the time in the territory of the USSR. But I was in business trips when withdrawal of troops has begun with Afghanistan and from the countries of the Warsaw pact

The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency did some "supplementation" of the uniform charts. One of the DIA posters showed KGB uniforms. The DIA assumed that KGB Generals wore their own unique service and dress uniforms, complete with blue piped shoulder boards and blue piped dress visor cap. The DIA therefore showed such uniforms on their poster.

As it turned out, no such KGB General's uniforms existed. KGB Generals wore the same uniform of Soviet Army Generals.

Of course, the DIA poster did result in a quite a few fake "KGB General's" uniforms appearing on the market.

The other Posters will take a while, had an acccident today.
Maybe the last "Victim" of the Berlin Wall, a 50 Kilo Block fell on my foot.

Here are examples of the fantasy "KGB General's Uniforms", both "service" uniform and "dress" uniform.

The fact that KGB Generals wore the uniforms of Soviet Army Generals was confirmed to me in an email a few years ago by General Oleg Kalugin, who had been a senior counter-intelligence officer of the KGB.
