    Soviet Naval Dagger

I found a period dagger to match my 1945 Navy Parade Tunic.

    Tunic.

I have a yellow parade belt for this tunic but is a later one and not a period piece.

That will be a superb set! Beautiful Navy "Victory Parade" tunic and the correct, period, dagger.

      VERY nice!

        Thanks for your comment Bill.

Looking for a period visor cap but that will be difficult to find.

Ah, Wayne, the hunt is half the fun!

Believe me, you'll find one eventually.

I think that the Soviet Navy Victory Parade uniforms are some of the most dynamic in modern military history. And they are not at all common. And neither are the wartime dated Soviet daggers. That is just a great set that you have now, and it will only get better!

            Like you say 'most dynamic'.

Originally I saw this tunic on a site.

It was there for a very long time with no sale.

One day I said to myself "I have to have it".

Worked out a deal with the seller and it was mine.

            No regrets.

On Victory Day parade naval officers were with ceremonial sabers (broadswords) but not with daggers.

                Hmmm!

Maybe I should look for a sword too.

Yes. For a ceremonial uniform One Victory Day parade more correct will be to find a sword.
