Try to find out what the exact meaning of this coin is.

Looks like a typical remembrance coin with some battles fought (Khalkhin Goll - Moscow - Lvov - Berlin - Prague), perhaps by someone from the city of Lvov (Lviv). I've come across countless different versions of such coins and table medals.

It is a commemorative medal 6 of a Guards motorized rifle division. It is made in DDR in 1984 by request of the military personnel of Group of the Soviet troops in Germany

Is the 1939 the Year of the foundation of the Unit?

I don't know how it is correct to write this information in English. I apologize in advance.
1939 is a year of battles on Halkin-Gola where the 82nd motorized rifle RKKA division participated. In a consequence the 82nd division became the pro-mother 6 Guards motorized rifle divisions
