E-stand generals hat wrongly offered as WW2

The following cap is offered on the E-stand but is of course not an original WW2 cap. Don't be fooled by this

This is a post-soviet visor cap. To be precise it is a M1993 visor, but it remained mostly a project conceived by the russian MoD, and if the factories produced small quantities, they were really scarcely seen on generals.
It is at best a transition cap, as most generals continued to wear soviet brown caps before switching in 94-95 to the olive drab visors with double-headed eagle and St Georges colours.

The hat is a part of parade-output summer uniform of marshals and generals (order of Minister of Defense from 1973)

I respectfully disagree. There are two kinds of grey caps for the walking-out uniform. Until 1982 it was a cap with a "large " embroidery", after 1982 this grey cap was discarded and replaced by the wave blue parade. cap.

With the model shown in the sales section, you see the "small" embroidery also used for havana brown service caps.
The "small" service-type embroidery has been used for this transitory grey waliking-out cap.

The first one is in a bad shape, if you wish it I 'll be able to get out one of my pices of my personnal collection. But you see the pre-1982 typical cardboard visor, and on the second the late-80ies sleek black vinyl plastic with the velvet lining on the other side.

These gray trousers with red stripe must be a post-Soviet piece of fashion as well. Still a nice uniform, I must say.

These red caps with the smaller embroidery are very readily available and perhaps a nice space-filler or starter piece, I especially like the air force variant.
