Gagarin medals

Because I started a topic on Zhukov uniform and medal, why not starting a thread about an other Soviet hero.

Unfortunately, that's the only picture I have from him with is medal.

I wounder if there as been any developpement on how he died since the Soviet Union collapsed ? Does somebody has information about his accident ?
