        Advice request on Russian Medals

        Good day,

I recently aquired these 2 medals via a European WW2 vet estate but unfortunately have no knowledge at all of Russian medals so hope you can help.

        I have 3 questions:

        - What do the medals represent?
        - Are they original?
        - Were they issued during or (right) after WW2?

Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

The first one's a Medal for Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War (1941-45). Looks to be original.
The second is the Order of the Great Patriotic War, 1st Class, 1985 issue. The 1985 issue was given to veterans on the 40th anniversary of the end of the war. Looks original as well.
            Thanks,
            Eric Gaumann

I agree with both gentlemen above. Both postwar awarded for actions and labour in the Great Patriotic War.
