Why do you suspect them, Jens? The center Vienna in the top two scans looks (from the scan) like it might be cast? The Budapest at left on the two lower scans has a strange pebbled background, but all of these are generally crudely made (chunked out by the hundreds of thousands in 1945/6), so it would be tough to say unless the design is more complex with something definitely "off." I have never handled a Belgrade, so can't speak to that one.
I've got a pair of original, never touched Prague and Budapest, with documents to a self propelled Guards Artillery Lieutnenat Colonel-- I'll scan those and post them as a separate thread and in here for closeups.Comment

Hmm... it's hard to say from scans-- looking at mine, it "looks" like my Budapest is cast-- and it isn't, and the Prague looks like it has a teeny "hammered" finish--and it doesn't. In both cases it is just how the remnants of the original gilt finish scanned.Comment
