Soviet medals from Odessa and Sebastopol

    Hello

I have contacted a Ukrainian salesman . Since there is a partner here who is very much in this type of militaria, I would like you to give me your opinion Whether or not it deserves to be bought. (The price, about 200 €)

    Odessa Medal

It is a model voenkomat, that is, after the conflict.

This kind of medals, we already know that there is a lot of Fake. I do not know if with these images it is possible to identify their "legality"

Of the three medals, this one from Sevastopol that seems less fake, is this, but of course, if you have the other fake, little confidence can give me this either, no? What do you think?

And the third medal, is also from Sebastopol, but the model voenkomat. What I do not like about this is the "burr" of the ring. I have never seen it in this type of medals, and that scales me a lot.

I know that before the doubt, better not to buy, but what do you think, do you like some?

It seems the 2nd medal has a casting defect... it should be coined! But the pictures are really small ...

      Fake...

      SoldadoRaso,

If those are the photo's provided by the seller, stay clear of all three.
All photo's are blurry and lack detail. Come to think of it...they look like generic pictures off of ebay.
I believe I'm seeing excess metal in the Sevastopol ring?

      I would save your money.

      Regards,

I also thought I've seen these at Ebay Leaftree. These pics look very similar to a Ukrainian seller from Ebay who sells quite some copies from original medals. I was trying to find them on Ebay but couldn't find them so quickly.

These both medals are the most faked campaign medals and the fakes outnumber the originals by far. So follow the advice what was given here: get MUCH better pics where all details can be seen or stay far away

Agree with the others, stay away.

These are back for sale as being originals on Ebay. Seller is antiqvar from Estonia....with lots of positive feedback???
A warning sign on Ebay for this seller is that you can't use the loop function on his photos to magnify the pics for details. Smart move if you wanna hide something. So buyers beware!

i know for a fact that the Odessa and the 2nd Sevastopol (the ones that look like they are Voenkomat issues) are reproductions. the 1st Sevastopol with the soldered suspension ring stands a chance, just need to see closeup pics to confirm.

The seller doesn't provide close-ups and on Ebay, where these are being sold, the zoom function which is available for almost every item sold there is switched off for these three medals. You just wonder why details are not provided even though these are listed as 100% original......to hide something of course. And with two out of three definite fakes you can be certain the third is also fake
