Just want to share the Russian M39 I picked up a while ago,sadly is has some scratches at the front,something has been written there,and then someone has taken it off,anyway its a nice and complete helmet.

Any chance that the writing may have been a period slogan? I know the troops scrawled victory/worker-solidarity/kill-the-fascists/on-to-berlin kind of slogans on tanks, trains and airplanes, so why not on helmets too?
