    WWII Infantry Uniform?

    Gentlemen,

I bought this uniform as a WWII Soviet soldiers one. This was long before the internet and forums. Before I put it up for sale I'd appreciate your comments. How much it is worth would also be of interest. The buttons are metal and appear to be painted. There are no markings inside either the shirt or the pants. The pants have seen more wear than the shirt.

    Regards,

    Gordon

          Hello,

I don't have alot of knowledge about uniforms but the pants seem good for me wartime or early post-war production as for the jacket, looks like M35 but not sure about the originality, can you please make photos of the reverse side of the collar ?

The medal is for the defense of Leningrad was surely not on the jacket at first. could you post a picture from the reverse of this medal (suspension) ?

Looking at the bottom of the blouse , the first picture is not encouraging .

              Trousers is a pre 50's , why not WW2 .
I have concerns for the jacket .

                Bagration,

Thank you for your interest. Seems to have stirred others interest as well. You are correct about the medal. It was not on the uniform when I bought it. I prefer to have medals badges etc. displayed on tunics rather than lying forgotten in a box somewhere. Here are the pictures of the back of the collar as you requested. I cropped one of the pictures so that back of the button is visible. Perhaps that will help date the shirt. Also, the reverse of the medal as requested.

                Regards,

                Gordon

Medal is in my opinion a good early one. Trousers could very well be WW2 or late 40's and the shirt doesn't do it for me (though I am by no means an expert on these shirts).

                        Hello,

Your medal is good, original ribbon and suspension brass, nice one

As for the jacket ... i'm not sure really, you should wait someone who know more this stuff, I don't want to say bull**** about this.

                          Bagration,

I was hoping that someone who actually owned a WWII uniform like this would respond but it does not look like that will happen any time soon. I bought the medal when I lived in Belgrade several years ago. It will go one of these days like the majority of my collections.

                          Regards,

                          Gordon

                              Bagration,

Thanks for the link to the Russian forum. Seems to me I joined it several years ago but haven't visited for a long time. I'll have to start asking my questions over there.

                              Regards,
