Hello All
I recently acquired this helmet and not sure of it's origin. The only history I have on it is from the person I bought the helmet from, that said it was brought back from Viet Nam in 1971. I have Robert Clawson's book and it sounds like his description of a SSh-39, particularly the liner construction. I know it is not a Czech M53 as I have two and ther liner retaining system is different. I suppose it could also Polish as the shell is similar and the leather liner is somewhat similar (five holes). The only markings that I could find a stencil on the inside crown of the shell where it is stenciled in black "HS" above "12/III or 12/111" with 1966 under that. Any Ideas
Regards
