    Russian folding motorcycle goggles

Hi All , how much should I pay for a Wartime pair of folding Soviet motorcycle goggles. The ones with D shaped lenses at 90 degrees to each other when un folded.

I'm pretty sure they are not post war. Well worn.

I have WWI French pairs , WWII Japanese pair and 1970's Soviet and Chinese ones. Would like original Russian WWII pair. They are asking $65 which seems a bit much but originals are pretty rare.

    Regards

    Steve

Notice no lining . Long D's and straight edges to frames. Which seems to indicate WWII era?

The folding goggles were also used by Tankests…. beware the glass is likely not splinter-proof… dangerous to use.

              Hi Viktor and 'Komandir',

I bought them on your advice.

No I won’t be wearing them, they will living with similar models in my collection.

It is almost impossible to find images of these goggles in modern collections. Does anyone have any, or any information about them?

What would have been the Russian name for these goggles during the War?
Is there any history of their adoption (dates of first use etc), or known wartime manufacturers?

How would the straps have looked when new?

Obviously the internet is awash with post-war versions, so it would be good to have some history for those who will think they are poorly kept modern ones!

              Regards

              Steve
