Need help on a Soviet leather overcoat

hi, i bought this overcoat back in roughly 2009 off ebay for about $100 and didnt really get it for collecting as i just wanted a nice leather overcoat (before i realized how odd wearing an overcoat in public is) it was sold to me as a tanker or pilot overcoat but it has become obvious to me that it is neither, the original buttons were taken off and ww2 soviet uniform buttons were placed on it instead and it has quite a bit of repairs due to heavy use, theres 2 notes in the pocket, one i got translated as being an old soviet trolley ticket but the other note i cant read as i dont know russian and the guy who translated the ticket cant read russian cursive so its a mystery, any help on what this coat is would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This item is definitly not AF.
    The writings translation is:
    button, front, brass
According to trolley ticket - it was weared postwar time.
It looks as produced in USSR for me but I'm not sure it is wartime.
Here is pics of leather coat used in Red Army Armor Troops.

I agree don't look like armored leather coat ... they some variations about the AF coat that must say but nothing like the model that you have ... the one that komandir Rkka show you is the 'long' model give to the captain rank and above.

For the other below rank the model is more short ... for example.

thanks for the reply, yea i have analyzed and tried to find other coats like it with no sucess except once where i found another one nearly dead identical on ebay but it had black buttons sewn on instead, a friend of mine who is also a heavy soviet collector took a look and between us we figured between the modifications, the repairs and the heavy use it appears to have been used in some likely military way but also we are sure it would have been a privately purchased or tailored coat
