Hi Flemming, I can tell you that it is not Russian. It is Yugoslav M48, a shorter version of the M1924. They sell for about $50.

Yes, it's Yugoslavian. The number 44 is misleading however.
The cyrillic word and the number 44 is the mark of the state run factory where the bayonet (and rifles) were made.

This mark can be seen on almost all Communist Yugoslavian made Mausers.
