    i took my photos with flash since it was late at night. the red is a dark red in natural light.

      That's what I mean, this helmet is 75 years old and red should be more whitish because oxidation of red paint.

                same seller, different factory made Ssh39, but same exact star. just my opinion, of course, and i would like to hear others.
                Your two ssh39 helmets with red star are the same manufacturer, same design of red star, same year, same color of red star, same paint wear, but the ink stamp is different, this is also rare. Also just my opinion.
