    what kind of pants do I have here and what does the text say ?

          The language is Slavic but not Russian. Romanian is not a Slavic language. The top line is a name and it reads Ganovic Mustafa.

            I think the name makes this something out of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
            I think the language/script is Serbo-Croation, which did have the regular J, which most other languages with Cyrilic type script didn't have.

            And are you sure it doesn't read Tanovic?

              I'm pretty sure it is letter G. Letter T is like the small letter t in the word Mustafa only bigger.

                  I asked a coworker who is originally from the former Yugoslavia to tell me what is written on the pants. He says:

                  Tanovich Mustafa tailor's friend.

                  So, I was wrong about the letter G. It is T indeed. Another thing he told me that the language is Bosnian.
