    Soviet Airborne patch - Subdued?

    Hello Comrades,

    This patch purports to be a subdued version of the more familiar blue and gold version.

    What say you?

    Never saw such patch and the subdued Version makes no sense to me.
    Maybe just a Sample to test the calibration of the machines and not to get in trouble by shipping bad ones to the Forces.

        Agreed -unusual, though not issue. I've never seen one like this, either in person or in any reference.

          Unfortunately this is a modern reproduction. There are a number floating around on ebay with different color variations and designs never in use.
