    the black ink stamp is barely visible but i think i see the "P - 2", can't see the factory - year stamp on the second line... what do you think, WW2 made or after? thank you

    It stands a very good chance of being late war production (1944-45). The whitish chinstrap is a very good sign, and the paintwork looks good to me. Postwar helmets generally have green or brown chinstraps, (they are not removable) and as you go into the 1950's they are stitched rather than rivetted, as this one is. Of course you should wait for other opinions, as I am often wrong!
