WW2 Russian Banner, hand painted frm vet group

Picked this up along with some german stuff, the flag is all hand painted , have no idea what it may say or be for, any help would be great. Its over 5 feet long and looks like some type of stremer flag?

It says, "Long Live Our Mighty and Gaining Strength Homeland, United Soviet Socialist Republics". Not, per se, a military flag but more of a thing that might be seen at a propaganda/pep rally or, perhaps hung in the wake of liberation.

Thnaks for the help on the banner. It almost looks like they took a nazi flag and cut it into this banner. Kind of a neat item i think. Thank you again for your help!

I agree with Greg. I've seen photos of this sort of thing at the end of the war. If you plan on parting with it at some point, post here or let me know.
