    Lenin Order c. 1940 Screwback

Here's a beautiful screwback Lenin Order, #6373, circa 1940. I plan to finally do some rearch and hopefully find out something about the recipient. I've had this in my collection since the 1980's.

In addition to the Lenin I have several early Red Banner screwback orders. I have sent off the numbers. I don't know how long the process takes...

I have never been aware of anywhere to send Russian numbered badge numbers to have them attributed...does someone have a service out there? , and if so can you tell us where to e mail, and the cost involved...those red banner screw backs to my knowledge run about the same as an RK. They are tough to score now...but not when the wall went down under regans watch.
How can you be sure , unless they copy the page of the awards master list ? Certainly they cannot replace the award documents....I would assume once seperated , they can never be pardner'd again. (just curious and had to ask) Thanks .

Just to clarify, the civilian version of the order of the redbanner is the order of the red banner of labor that if some screwbacks (especially the type 1)command the big bucks , although the red banner medals are getting more pricey, and I recomend buying all russian high orders whenever possible as they can no longer be sent out of russia...http://www.collectrussia.com/search.cfm

Paul - I would also be interested in what you find out from your research. Thanks for the heads up.
