Tunic just arrived and I would appreciate some opinions.

Boards and ribbon bar are stitched through the lining and the lining has been restitched in the armpit areas. Some buttons have been reattached. Most are dated '84.
Tunic does have that old musty smell to it.
So, could this have been put together to raise the value?
