        If you like them salty here is early Pioneer flag. 50's I believe, that very faded and smells like diesel or coal oil ar similar.

          reverse, as you can see back side is in a little better shape. But notice the smoke type stains and discoloring on the fringe.

            last item unless someone wants to see Russian pole tops. This is a Pioneer grouping for the school kids. Flag, sash, drum,trumpet w/banner, and a hat, which I have, but dont know where I put it right now.

              and a larger size regimental drum, but have resisted buying
              many others too, in an attempt to focus myself on unit flags and
              pole tops, although of all nations and periods. One of my
              favorites also being a chain stitched Soviet youth flag,

                How can you tell the difference between a wartime Red Army Rifle Regiment flag and one made post war in the late 1940's? How common are these flags and what do they generally sell for?

                  A lot of differences, firstly as I remember- different motto, Like Smert Fashistskim OKKUPANTAM. And the USSR sign differences with ribbons on it, 15 ribbons-post war

                    And war time flag easily can be found, because post war flaggs never goes to the civil hands.( War time flags can go from any museums or from the Germans)

                      Here are a few VC & north vietnamese ones.I don't know if it's tourist junk(usually,for such a very good quality it would rather be in a museum ...)but so far I've seen none like these for sale on E*** .Maybe these are repro made for museum????Advice of expert is welcome....

                      All flags feature either ties or an "arm" for the pole.
                      There is no factory stamp,no date of manufacture on every flag.
