Order of Red star - opinions please

A friend of mine who doesn't collect militaria got this order of red star in some lot and I'd like to help him with evaluation. I think it's a good one, awarded as long service in 1957, but I'd like more experienced guys to look at. What would be average value for that piece? Thanks in advance.

The base plate is not original to the badge. Besides that it is an good piece, but I think it was awards well after the 1960s.

Thanks for your reply! What do you mean as base plate? The reverse of the badge, where s/n and screw are placed, or the screwing disc (nut)?

Looks good to me despite the strange photos. The screwplate has some strange coloration to it but I think it's original. Agree that it's most likely a Long Service award from 1956/'57.
        Worth somewhere around $50, IMO.
        Thanks,

Once one gets below the one million serial number range the price starts to go up I'd say.
