    Soviet Combat Uniform Question

During the War with Afghanistan, did soldiers wear the camouflaged KZS net uniform over their standard issue khaki uniform with the striped shirt underneath or is that a different uniform that is often underneath the camouflage?

Also, was it more common for soldiers to wear the camo uniform or the standard khaki uniform with the broad brimmed hat in the field during operations against the Mujahedeen?

    Thanks for your help.

I've seen the KZS's worn over other jackets, and by itself too.

And aside from the KZS, the KLMK was practically the only camo suit used there.
Camo stuff like TTsKO was only used by some higher ranked guys and pilots.
Standard issue was the M69 suit, and later on more of the Afghankas appeared (mostly in VDV and special units first), and mabuta suits for other special units.
The jump coverall was also seen in use with VDV, but definately not a lot, since it's quite impractical
