All I can say about this grouping is very nice...to say the least. Do you have any information on what this person did to earn his medals?Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

He joined the war in January 1944, was flying IL-2 shturmovik bomber.
From January 1944 until August 1944 he had 80 successful flight missions and 120 air hrs.
During these missions he destroyed: 30 tanks, 6 airplanes, 150 cars, 25 armored vehicles, 4 locomotives, 80 railway cars, 75 anti aircraft guns, up to a 1000 solders and officers, 10 petroleum warehouses. Total: 180 flight missions.
After 100 combat missions, in January 1945 was awarded Hero of The Soviet Union title, never was wounded or shutdown. Passed away in Kharkov, Ukraine, in 1989. My dad lived at the same city.

MasterBo - thank you very much for your follow up posts and background about the Soviet officer, very interesting reading about his past and what he did during the war. Much appreciated in reading your latest posts. :-)
As for your other Soviet groupings, I would be very interested in seeing them, even from a history perspective.Somebody, after all, had to make a start.
