Medal for Veterans of the Spanish Civil War

I was going through some boxes of stuff I had put away and came across this medal. It was a veterans medal for the 50th year reunion of Russian volunteers in the Spanish Civil War. Only 98 people were eligible for the medal as most had died of old age or in the Great Patriotic War.

I do not know if this is rare or valuable, but I could not find another searching the web. The medal is a quality strike of bronze with enamel and lacquer.

It is rare, but I don't know how rare. I've been looking for information for 15 years and encountered the 98 number too, but think the production was greater than that. That being said, I've never seen one for sale so it's hard to determine its scarcity and/or put a dollar figure on it. Most Westerners wouldn't know what it is and I haven't seen any Russian-language collector articles on it.

I too have one however missing the suspension and another Spanish War Soviet-issue related badge with a similar motif from a decade earlier if memory serves me correctly.
