Options on a Soviet Partisan's Medal

I was strolling thru ebay listings and found this vendor selling a Partisan medal. The details seem very faded. I'm not sure if that is from actual wear or signs of a reproduction. Options ???

Together with the Odessa Medal, the Partisan Medals have been faked almost to perfection, to the point that it has become practically impossible to tell if a medal is original based on digital images. You need to post much, much better images than this - preferably 1200 DPI scans.

In my opinion, this medal looks good enough to attempt to have it authenticated. I'm looking in my usual places for "give-aways" and I'm just not seeing them. Could be the photos; sure, but I just can't pin point a fault here.
