The non collected Russian item's !

I was laughed at when I bought these, hey but I like them and are a part of history....I'm not 101% sure of what they are to be certain, but they are part and parcel of my Russian collection.

Common yes probably, cheap yes they were........but I enjoy them, and I too collect these as part of my Russian overall collection of items in 'tinnies and medals'.

They are all mint marked, a sort of U with a tail and number, 11, 15 etc and then a K others have 'motif's' of sorts and numbers along this line.

I love it all, so here's a few of several I have.......any idea's on the, 'Hero of the Soviet Union' depicted lapel and tinnies ?

(I have several hundred DDR and USSR all mixed and I still haven't had the time to explore them all, so here's just a few for now)

Probably you already know the translations, but if you do not, I'll try to help with some.

First picture Upper row 2nd badge: Glory to the Soviet tankmen. Next badge: Glory to the Artillery warriors
Lower row, the first one says 30 years victory

Picture marked as 1 - the Brest hero-fortress 1941

Picture marked as 2 - Minsk

picture marked as 4 - Moscow hero-town

Seems Minsk, Moskva /Moscow/, Brest and etc. were hero-towns and hero-fortresses, awarded with the "Hero of the Soviet Union" star.

last two pictures - tz. 10 k / 15 k U with tail sounds like Tz, stands for Tzena, this means Price. K is for Kopeyka - Soviet cent. So, you could get 10 of the first type for 1 Rubla Those are prices, accompanied by the symbol of the manufacturer.

Forgot to add: the lower-right badge on the first picture says Glory to the Soviet border guards

The veteran pins are very collectable and obscure ones can get exensive!

Look for the ones with no price and mint mark like MMD or LMD.
