    Soviet para badge, Makarov holster and shoulderstraps

    Evening gents!

    Found these at a flea market in Belarus.
    I think the para badge is a more unusual one? No story behind it but from what I found out it is not a common one. Any comments?

    Cheers
    //Felix

      This Soviet paratrooper badge replaced the diamond shaped outlined Soviet paratrooper badge in 1964. A hole was added at the bottom in 1965 to permit the hanging of a gold metal tag to indicate the number of jumps completed. Since your badge does not have the hole it was worn from 1964 to 1965. They are not super rare as you come across them every now and then.

        I disagree, respectfully. The badge in question here is the 1955 model and the one you refer to,
        with the pendant was issued in 1968.
        I will agree that it's not super rare but it is a really nice piece of early Cold War kit and it does have it's
        (probably) original Pobeda factory screwplate as well.
        I'd enjoy that in my collection (hint)
        Thanks,
        Eric Gaumann

            Makarov holster and shoulders straps are late post war. Shoulders straps were in use till the middle of 80s, holster is still in use nowdays: police, army and so on.
