    hat stand

    hi Michael,
    my hat stand utilizes a central dowel with a flat round piece of wood at the top. There is a cruciform arrangement of 2 paint stir sticks braced on the inside of the hat. The paint sticks rest on the flat round piece of wood. This works well for visor hats.

      Hi Dave,

      Actually, I've found what I think is going to be the solution. Believe it or not, it involves the use of a "Tinker Toys" set. The method you described for your system is pretty much the system I've worked out with the "Tinker Toys" set. I never could do much with them as a kid, but as an adult, we will just have to wait and see.

        Hey Mike...I see you are holding back by not including an image in your post of the DDR side of your collection...

          Now that really is thinking outside the box....perfect solution....but alas my tinkertoys disappeared sometime in the last 45 years.

            Hi Ralph,

            Astute observation. "Holding back" being the operative words. I'm currently mucking about with that part of my Hat/Helm display, and therefore intentionally refrained from posting a pic or pics. There's time. Patience being the other operative word.
