I had to google `Lend-Lease`. Very interesting! I had never heard details about this and learned something new today.

Learning is 1/2 the fun in all of this. See this ebay link to understand specifically what Azad and myself are referring to. I think you will see that the wool used on the Gym. you bought is the same as these U.S. trousers.

I do not know if they sent trousers or not. I have never heard of standard U.S. cut trousers being sent, or U.S. made trousers in Soviet cut. I do have a pair of Soviet EM trousers in my collection that are made from U.S. HBT material. I have also seen Soviet made officer's trousers made in the same U.S. Mustard wool. I would suspect that there are EM trousers in this material as well, such would not be a surprise.

Your Gymnastiorka is Soviet made in U.S. wool. The pocket and other liner materials as well as the piping are typical Soviet in origin.

Somewhere packed away I have a similar shirt with the same style multi-piece buttons along with the matching red piped breeches. I'll have to go digging and see if I can find it.

I have received the jacket After three days in the freezer just to be on the safe side the jacket is now on a bust. With an officer’s belt and a cap I bought many years ago.

The cap turned out to be a perfect match to the jacket. I have even found a photo with a senior officer wearing the same type of cap.

I am waiting for a Ssh-39 helmet from 1941, soviet binoculars from 1941 and a soviet map case. As soon as I get these items on the bust I will post more pictures

I have one set of pictures with a Ssh-39 helmet (made at "Red October" factory in Stalingrad ZKO 1941) and one set of pictures with a WWII soviet cap.
