    Today's haul

Fresh from my new connection a Soviet military academy badge, 70s era.
This came in dirty and well used and a good soak in warm soapy water, a gentle brushing with an old toothbrush, a rinse and a buffing with a microfiber towel helps it look a lot better.

What attracted me to this badge was the engraving on the reverse.
Could someone help me with what I perceive as the owner's name
    and other information, please?

Honored Miner and Law School Graduate badges

Numbered (6565), Honored Miner's (Почетный Шахтер) badge. Badge unmarked but with commonly seen Monetney Dvor marked screwplate.
Legal University (ЮРИДИЧЕСКИЙ ВУЗ) graduate rhomb. LMD marked badge and screwplate.

Thanks, Bill. The legal badge is almost a dime a dozen yet in the East.
The Miner badge less so but still fairly common.

              The Miner's badge I wanted because I have a Miner's Glory 3 and a Prospector's badge
so I wanted to develope the theme some more. Plus, I just like that design.
Nice, heavy brass with enamel and screwback (and a less than high serial number).
The gold-plate is gone and so is the paint on the hammers and drill (doesn't look like they were ever there),
but I always prefer used badges with honest wear to pristine examples.

                Eric....
I feel exactly the same way!
It's nice to have a perfect badge, but so many of these badges were worn by workers, during the course of their work, that honest wear only enhances their history in my opinion.

And I also like the Miner items.
Mining is a dirty, extremely hazardous, and physically demanding job that is absolutely crucial to a country's economy. Those fellows can't be given enough awards as far as I'm concerned !!

After a month and a half wait my connection came through.
A 1958 version of the Navigator's qualification badge, 2nd grade. With a deep Pobeda screwplate.
A private issue ВИСМ school rhomboid. Note the tell-tale dimpled brass screwplate and unmarked reverse.
A BDHX Young Participants badge, '66-'90. Not worth a whole lot but I've seen about 5 of these in the last 5 years; 4 of them at high to outrageous prices.

And finally a Miner's Glory badge, 2nd grade. LMD marked on the reverse.
Very well worn with the majority of the plating worn off, a couple suspension links missing and a lot of crud* on it. But the price was too good to pass up and it will compliment my mining/geology collection quite well.

                      * which shall soon be cleaned off.

                          Bravery Medal 589k

This just in, a low number Bravery Medal. Late '43 or early /44 most like.

And this image after a bath in warm, soapy water with a scrub from a soft toothbrush and a wipe with a microfiber cloth.
Dirt and adhesive residue gone and most of the patina retained.
