    Modern Russian camo...with a twist.

    Hello all,
not one of my habitual haunts this forum, but after coming across this set of modern Russian camo, i just had to post it.

I don't think i need to elaborate on the inspiration for this particular scheme....

This pattern seems to be issued to members of the "FSB", and "MVD". I'm not sure if it is fully military issue. Maybe another member can shed more light?

    Patrick.

If this camo can be found for sale, my guess would be to try Trident Militaria. I believe that they carry former Communist Bloc, and current Russian camoflauge.

                      Hello Chay,

here is some of the first suit posted:
                      http://www.russiancombatgear.com/pro...Suit_(SSO).php

It would seem that these patterns are semi-official and are liked by interior and special forces units due to better construction and materials than their standard goverment issue versions..if i find out more i'll post the info.

                      Patrick.

PS here is a shot of it being worn in service..

To Patrick and Upbeek. One of the reasons this might not be getting much response is that unfortunately, it ain't Communist. The interest of the members of this Forum are primarily with Communist era memorabilia. So don't be too dissappointed if there is not much response. We all mean well, just no real interest here.

                            Hi guys,

Not questioning that it is good stuff. Just observing that its not Communist. Same reason Wehrmacht (which is really good stuff) doesn't get posted here with the few exceptions where uniform comparisons are made.
Perhaps the Forum Moderators can better address this and stear you where your questions will receive more attention? I think there is a sub-forum for "All Other" maybe?

Anyway, I was just allerting you to why you weren't getting the responses you sought.

                            Cheers,
                            Michael D. GALLAGHER

Modern Russian cammo is a nightmare - the various ministries buy whatever they seem to damn well like from wherever they like.

I saw some Eastern Europeans at a show selling this kind of stuff a few weeks back.

The pea-dot cammo was seen in use by MVD troops in Ossetia last week... along with "British DPM" and "American tiger stripe" and all the usual VSR/Schofield stuff....
