    Bulgarian Items of interest

I got a few Bulgarian items I've wanted to post on here for a while now but never got the chance.

I'll start off with this pendant and badge, can someone please tell me what it was for?

Here is a Visor cap from the 80s(?) I assume and a belt that came with it. can someone tell me what service these were for? what rank? NCO? officer?

Next is an old officers parade (?) visor from what appears to be 50's or 60's. Can someone give me clarification on this one? model perhaps, rank, service etc?

Last is what i was told was Hussar guard's hat from the 60's i think?
An interesting thing is both this and the older officers visor cap smell like cigarette smoke inside and are roughly the same size which leads me to think either most bulgarians had small heads and smoked or these belonged to the same man.

The pennat is a prize for 1st place in some competition - DOT (dobrovolni otrjadi trudjascih) - volunteer worker's detachments, some kind of worker's reserve units.

First cap is peaked cap for officers of tanks, artillery and motorised transport units (black with red piping). This is the late style, I think, so 1980s should be correct. The belt is army officers parade belt. I have also seen gold version, so not sure about age for this. The second peaked cap could be Border Guards officer parade cap? The green top is like Soviet caps, so only guess. Last grey winter cap is for parade uniform (red version) of Presidential Guard. Normally, they have pheasant feather on top and chinscales. There is also a white version for white summer uniform.

"Border Guard" cap could be from 1960s or 70s, not sure. They are not worth much, because sellers from Bulgaria have flooded ebay and internet with them. Maybe $20-$30? The second cap probably rarer. There is tankers cap on ebay at moment for $9.99. There not much demand for Bulgarian communist - the WW2 caps are worth much more.

That's slightly disheartening as I thought the older one would be worth a little more but I'm still an eastern bloc collector so I like it! To hell with the WWII hats

I won the auction of the tankist cap, for a very good price IMO.
However, I´ve seen that later period caps' prices are usually higher. And uniform sets are very expensive Are they really scarce or just overpriced?

                      Thanks!

Yes, I've noticed that the uniform sets and just uniforms in general are very expensive. Its my belief that they're probably very overpriced seeing as how my bulgarian stuff here is supposedly not worth much.

Actually, I´d say the price range on ebay for Bulgarian communist visor caps like yours is a bit higher (USD 30-40 and/or a bit more). Besides from the 9.99 tankist cap I won yesterday and the common field skullcaps, I have not seen Bulgarian headgear cheaper than that. Navy caps are a more expensive.

Your Hussar guards cap is for sale now for USD 35 on the same auction site. the white version is going for the same price.
