    Soviet panzer greatcoat?

    Guys
Some weeks ago my old mother brought me this greatcoat. She had picked it up at a flee marked and thought it might be something for me

Very kind of her and I now have it in my collection.
I collect German WW2 and don´t know much about Soviet/communist uniforming.

I know it is a greatcoat, it is from the communist east, panzer indicated by the collar tabs.

Can anyone help me with more info? Time period of this coat, 70-80´s would be my guess but i´m shooting in the dark here so help would be appreciated

All the best and thanks you
    Lars

The labels inside usually tell the whole story.

Soviet coat. Major's rank. Sometimes the reverse of the buttons have manufacturer's marks and dates on them. Young Octoberist pin.
                  Thanks,
                  Eric Gaumann

                    Are they common to find?

I would assume fairly common but I'm not a uniform collector so....
But if it fits I'd surely wear it in the winter!
                      Thanks,

It is medium size i guess
The buttons have a marker and they are also numberd 78. I assume 78 is the year of manifacture then.

                        Cheers

Thats a really nice coat. I try to focus mainly on German, but I have been keeping my eye on Soviet stuff too. I have a one similair to this but with Motor Corps tabs, and as far as I have found out Lieutenant Colonel Shoulder Boards.

They look awesome these great coats, fantastic for display!
