I believe she was a presidential canidate fo the U.S. communist party in the late 60's or early 70's. I think I have a campaign button from that time period.

I seriously doubt that Angela Davis, nor anyone she knows or has ever known, would know a single thing about an EK1 or anything else having to do with militaria.

They are professional anti-militarists, for one thing, and world class propagandists of whining about nothing.

They are "Communist" (upper case "C") in the way a military novelist who has never been inside a tank is different from an Abrams commander.

Chet Sowersby made Davis akin to Jane Fonda, and he is correct. She is one of the most reviled and discredited American radical agitators in the past 60 years, in my opinion.

The State of California paid her a professor's salary to spread ideological venom at the University of California - Santa Cruz until her retirement.

Everything you said is completly true. I live less than fifteen miles of where she was given a chair so that she could teach communitst theory. A chair no less! The UC system here in California is corrupt and bankrupt and yet they carry someone like her on the payroll. WTF is that about?

UCSC is the left coast equivalent of Columbia. One of my sons got his BA from SC, and to this day he occasionally spouts something off to me which is traceable directly to that petri dish of international Socialism. Drives me nuts...

I'm pretty sure it all stems from the Free Speech Movement at Berkeley many years ago, ever since the UC system capitulated by appointing radical Leftists to tenure as a way of saving their campus - it grew like a poison ivy rash.
