    Unknown Pouch Identification

This pouch is part of an equipment collection that was taken for a dead Viet Cong soldier in May, 1968. All of the other equipment is either jungle manufacuture or ChiCom. I beleive this a Soviet piece but am unsure and not at all sure about the intended use. It came with an AK-47 magazine but, that does not really fit in the pouch. Any assistance will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Here are two more shots. Thanks Bill

    Comrade,
It is a model of Sight Bag for the RPG 7 V, the spares and lens shrouds/light filters go in the front pockets, I have one but from the store it was not dropped once like that one.

I'm not sure it is Soviet or Hungarian by the looks of the material used ,I do also have a DDR variant cut similarly but in DDR materials which the KdA used .

    I hope this helps.

I would say it's not soviet, but maybe Hungarian or Romanian by the Style.
I allway's had the soviet, East german and polish ones in stock and they were totally different in Material and Production.
Hope this directs in the right direction.
I know how hard it can be to ID something.

        Gentlemen,

Thank you for the responses. And in your opinions, 1968 is a reasonable date for this piece to exist?
