I already bought this Russian tunic on ebay. I have wanted a commissar's tunic for a long time and I snapped this up before I really investigated. I am not sure the rank ribbons go with the commissar patch. If it does violate service regulations does anyone have a picture of the chevron and the star being worn together. Any insight or help would be appreciated. Michael Custer

Sorry mike, we actually were joking about this tunic on another forum. Its so bad that I did not think anyone would pick it up. Commissars did not wear sleeve stripes, but thats just the tip of the iceberg; the entire thing is a put together, I can't believe to fool collectors, probably for theatre.
Get your money back ASAP.

Nice Tunic
Mike,
Very nice tunic. That is what I want to get for my collection at some point. I asked for a refund but so far this guy hasn't responded to anything I have sent. The next morning, after bidding, when I looked at the picture I knew I had screwed up royally. I think my desire for a tunic like that just made me stupid.
By the way, did you ever see the movie, Europa Europa...They have the best scene of Hitler's Commissar Order being put into effect. It will send a chill down your spine.

Yes, jumping too soon can be a dangerous move in this hobby . Hopefully getting a refund on that item will be easy for you. Here is a pic of one of my commissar pull-overs for comparison. This is an art. brigade commissar.
Regards,
Mike
