It seems wildly overpriced in my opinion.

I thought that too, The seller is listing another KPA uniform with a different cap and is a bit cheaper.

Without knowing much about North Korean Army memoribilia....it's probably all real, but it's all recent/current North Korean.....undoubtedly scarce but of little or no interest to 95% of collectors.....and certianly way over priced.

If it was a 1950/51 dated North Korean uniform & hat, it would be a STEAL!

Probably little more than "Army Surplus" between China & N. Korea....now someone is looking for a "sucker"....

I might see this set for "around $100.00" as a scarce "modern" uniform......unless the C.I.A. needs a set for covert operations...

Quite frankly I would not be surprised if the DPRK uniforms are actually made in China to begin with, and shipped to North Korea.

Second, the DPRK army is absolutely huge, so there are certainly a large number of these uniforms in existence.

And finally, while the supply on the collector market may be limited at the moment, the demand is also low, in my opinion.

There´s another thing that seems suspicious to me. Almost all uniform sets- if not ALL- offered by Chinese dealers on Ebay, have the same Army rank patches, no wear at all, and it´s always the same closed-collar jackets. I´ve never seen worn uniforms, open collar tunics, or rank patches/shoulderboards for other branches of service.

That is way overpriced, I have N Korean tanker dress uniform for far less than that. I paid a little more because it came with it's awards. Having one of the largest armies in world, these uniforms are not in short supply. No doubt that many of the Chinese dealers are sitting on them.

These two uniforms from this seller are the only KPA uniforms I have seen on eBay.co.uk. Are they being sold anywhere else?

I just looked around and found some more uniforms and they're cheaper and sold by a different seller.

The Tanker uniform is currently in my large bookmark folder of planned uniforms. Hopefully a few £50 notes will fly into my house. Even though they aren't rare or special, I still think it'd be a great uniform to own and would probably become the center piece of my collection. I'll probably buy them assuming they're still there when I can afford them.
