ebay Snake Warning....

Hi guys,
just want everyone here to be aware....
watch out for this ebay.de seller....
he truly gives meaning to the words RIP-OFF ARTIST
last Oct/Nov I won an ebay auction from this snake...
He says thanks got your payment, I will send your book...
then the snake lists it again a couple weeks later under a different seller name (but same email address...what a loser)
I won that auction too and confronted the snake via email and he says "no it is a different book"
His name is Thomas Bousselot and he sells under the name:

Hi David. I'm stunned that this seller (He is Russian so I guess it is appropriate for this forum) is still allowed by ebay to do business. Last September I fell prey to him (no negative hits yet on his ebay record at that time). I won several books and sent him over EURO 300 for them, which he acknowledged getting. Then he responds saying there was an illness in the family and his co-worker quit. The problem with that sad story is, he was selling all along during this time under a different name on ebay. The books were supposed to be sent to my mother-in-law in Berlin (2 to 3 days to receive). Never got the books. Never got a refund. No help from ebay. Now he has I believe 27 negative hits. That Ebay is still permitting him to sell, is to me, a travesty. I agree, people do need to be warned. He sells by at least one other different ID, which I believe is supposed to be illegal on ebay. Or maybe not?

Forgot to mention, as in the case with David, my books too were re-listed.

This is one of the real downsides with Ebay. If you are a buyer and don't pay the seller they come down on you like a ton of bricks. If its the other way round they just couldn't care less. I got ripped off by a Russian seller who went under the name Pushkin245. He ripped me off for a Spvoet paratroopers Tel'nyashka. Luckily it was only for $15 or so plus postage (which was also a rip off). Amyway, the upshot was when I reported him to Ebay they just didn't want to know...and this bloke had 35 negative feedbacks..! Unbelieveable...

A good way i have found to ward off snakes,is to pay via pay pal,with American Express. If a deal goes sour, i deny charges,and its removed from my bill,and the seller is still stuck with the paypal charge I have traded on Ebay since 1999,and have only had to do this in 3 instances. Usually the mere threat speeds up the process

Hi Dave,

Stick some negative feedback on this guy, then still in a complaint with square traders, this may help your cause. I take it as he was dealing from ebay.de he does not accept paypal as with most German dealers.

Have you emailed ebay concerning the fraud.

I complained many times to ebay.de + ebay.com...
pointing out his string of negative feedbacks
(he had about 13 in one month)...
expained the circumstances (same book, 2 different seller names?)

they did nothing for me except the usual ebay "blah, blah, blah"....
They probably told Herr Bousselot to keep his nose clean for a little while...
For the most part, I have had very good luck with ebay as a buyer and seller
Herr Bousselot seems to target overseas buyers that would be hard pressed to fly to Germany and dim his lights for awhile
